Did you know the “normal” food colorings you use to color your foods at home or in your packaged products are a very toxic chemical? Some colors more than others. Red & Blue Food Colorings are the most toxic colors. The “normal” dye’s sold on shelves today are synthetically made. The chemicals in Red, Blue, and Yellow are linked to cancer. Red 40 should alarm you if you are reading that in your cereal ingredients or even candy. Most foods today have some form of coloring in them.
Their are safe plant based alternatives though. You can still enjoy making your kids Halloween and Christmas sugar cookies! I have recently found a brand I LOVE. Most store carry packets of food coloring that are per one time use. This set of colors I found that will save you money instead of buying and adding up individual uses.
Only clean brands of colors are aloud in our home!
