Today 80% of our food is depleted of nutrition. 50 years ago a piece of lettuce would of had more nutritional value than today. It has come to to the point where people make it common and normal that kids get a cold or are sick all the time. Most would say “it’s just the way it is”.
Our food has little to no nutritional value in them. I am not talking about processed foods, I am talking about whole foods in general. Most food we grow lives more in “dirt” than soil. By that I mean the soil today is depleted of it’s value so that creates an unstable way to grow our produce.
When it comes to rebuilding the soil, the most important thing to remember or ask yourself is, does this system I am using mimic a prairie? There is a certain system God, our creator made that works. It’s how you get food that doesn’t have consequences. Weather you are gardening or farming, this principle applies.
Does the land use man made things to boost the soil or things given to us on the land already? How can the things you have already work together to help each other out? If that makes you roll your eyes as if I am referring to things that aren’t “good enough” to make you profit let me ask this. Did God provide all the tools we need here on earth? Can a man made product out do His? Things are deceiving and sometimes they may look fine and aren’t.
I never thought about any of these things when I was in college or learning the ag industry things in college. Yes, I cared where my food came from. I trusted “experts” (researchers) though with my health and well being. I am not here to be the expert, I am here to ask you the questions that help you think like a whole. Most don’t think about the questions I ask people. They think about what the so called “expert” tells them. I challenge you to look at another angle and ask yourself a question.
