This type of Ag is about building soil. It is more of a way of having different systems that work off each other that create a bigger cycle system. There are many questions that arise with this type of farming. I encourage you to research it more instead of just partly.
Farming today focuses more on man made ways to “fix’ the land verses letting nature improve itself. Here is a glimpse of Regenerative vs Conventional for a visual.
Work with the soil not against it. It’s not very possible to have a Regenerative Ag practice without animals. It is part of the cycle. Manure helps the Carbon cycle.
Depleting the health of the soil will result in making it harder and harder to grow food in the soil. The type of soil you have today is the legacy for the next few generations. Healing the soil doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. One step at a time.
