Accessories are about the most important part for making an outfit look Western, so today I am going to share with you my favorite Western accessory must-haves! I share so many accessories often, just adding 2-3 of them to each outfit will help you make your outfits so versatile and go further.

Authentic Turquoise Jewelry

There is kind of a BIG rival on this topic in the Western industry. Whatever you decide is totally your own, and I respect that. There isn’t much talk on it in a positive way. You hear a lot of influencers that share this and they are sponsored with $8,000 squash blossom pieces, coming across in a pushy way about it. I get it, it is not the way to go about it. 

Let me start by mentioning I am ALWAYS sharing affordable authentic Western pieces and while some pieces may be expensive, you don’t have to pull out a loan for them. I am very much always sharing affordable because honestly, I think it’s silly for all the other influencers to tell you to buy authentic and spend $2k on a tiny necklace. It’s not necessary.

The reason to wear authentic is because this type of jewelry comes from the Native American culture. The Western industry has become kind of a part of repping this jewelry for hundreds of years. Now a lot of faux pieces are being duplicated through China with fake Navajo pearls. In my opinion, it is disrespectful to wear faux turquoise and Navajo pearls because we have integrated the Western culture with the native culture in so many ways.

Unique Burned Cowboy Hats  

Don’t get me wrong, I love a plain hat sometimes, yet every one of the plain ones I keep around ends up getting burned. Even in the most elegant ways. I wear burned cowboy hats because it adds character to your style.

It’s not just like a duplicate of another big influencer. You know there are so many duplicate looks in the Western industry we need to spice it up. Bring out some firefly glow of your own style. That’s what makes fashion fun is creating your OWN style. I don’t go without a burned hat. 

Belts

Belts help shape your outfit. Now each of these accessories I don’t use all of them at the same time but these are the basics to take a simple plain, regular fashion look, into Western. They are how you make an outfit look Western.

I love to use concho belts a lot, they have affordable ones on amazon. You can get authentic sterling silver belts but I this isn’t something I typically tell others to invest into first.

Boots

Boots are a must but I know they are pricey. I recommend starting with different-colored dingo boots like these, they are affordable. I linked some on LTK.

I also recommend following me there for some affordable Amazon Western boots. I have found so many and I get compliments every single time I wear them because they look so real. 

Purse & Bags

Purses and bags are really nice when you are out and about and make your plain outfit to shine! I love adding this when I look casual, but also my everyday purse just goes with all my outfits.

This purse is everyone’s fav when I post.

You don’t always need a Western-looking purse. Sometimes minimal, plain does so much more! But when I see a Western purse to pick from in my closet it’s always the first pick. Any fringe or Aztec print purses are so fun to style.
